Have you ever tried to use bluetooth and mess with the settings just to send a picture? Have you ever been in a hurry to unlock your car but you are still searching for the keys? What about if you are lazy to swipe or type your security lock in the morning just to check on your emails? Well, then what do NFC got to do with it then? Well NFC is is a set of standards for smartphones and similar devices to establish radio communication with each other by touching them together or bringing them into close proximity, usually no more than a few inches. In most smartphones today, their back covers can have a small soft-touch pad with contacts on the underside of the back cover. They are the NFC "anteanas". Anyone with those simlar things to can establish something called beaming when being touched to the anteanas. They can send small amounts of infomation like sending a picture, a URL link etc. Using your phone as a key is possible that way.

Hey guys! Long time no see, here i am back with the tech news for today that i'm really excited about. Jiayu, a widely popular chinese manufacturer in shengzhen, has made one of the most affordable Full HD (1080p) and powerful phones out there! It will be a competitor to the HTC One, Galaxy S4 and Xperia Z but thanks to its Snapdragon 600 Processor, it would blew those other OEMs away with this one just like the Xiaomi MI2S (chinese OEM)! I guess China phones are not all about knock-offs of other products now! So are you intrested? lets take a look under that metal body frame of the 5" beast!

Network: 2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
                   3G: WCDMA 2100MHz
Navigation: GPS+AGPS Navigator
HSUPA: Support 5.76 Mbps
HSDPA: Support 7.2 Mbps/42Mbps
Connectivity: WIFI 802.11b/g/n,
                           Bluetooth 4.0 + A2DP,
                           EDGE
Build-Quality: Steel Frame
CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 SoC (Quad-core at 1.7GHz)
GPU: Adreno 330
RAM: 2GB DDR3 RAM
Storage: 32GB built-in memory (no SD card expansion)
OS: Android 4.2.2 with Jiayu's own custom UI
Dimensions: 138 x 69 x 9mm
Display: 1920x1080 5" IPS-laminated display by SHARP( 441PPI)
and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection
Camera: 13MP Rear Sony BSOD camera with LED flash
                 5MP front camera
Other features: NFC, Qi wireless charging, Java Expand, Music/video player,
WAP Browser, multi-language, Gravity Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Light Sensor
FM Radio, USB 2.0, Google Play Store preinstalled
Battery: 2300mah (removable/accessible)

This is pretty much a high-end spec device targeting at a price of just 1999RMB (310USD)! Although the only thing i'm afraid of is that 32GB memory. I am a power user so i'm quite hungry for storage space hence needing a SD card expansion slot to flex my daily use. Also 4G isn't included but nevertheless, this phone makes a great choice for those who wants a great super high end affordable phone! I would consider buying the iOCEAN X7 Elite, which uses the MTK processor, with this!

Its soon ready for preorder in Mid-October!

Check out their website for news and new upcoming releases!

Each time you sleep, in school, or in a meeting, you put your phone into sleep mode... When your wake your device up, your battery would decrease to 20% in 3hours... Joe Levi, from PocketNow.com, showed us Deep Sleep Battery Saver which drastically improve your battery life... Basically, the apps is like most other battery saving app... It has profiles... Gentle, Strong, Balance, Agressive, Slumberer... I didn't include Custom because its availible on the PRO version only...

Give thanks to the Developer!

Appparantly after some experiments with my netbook, I got Fedora 17 set as my default OS... Soon after playing with it, I thought I would want to have Android x86 on it and dual boot it... Turns out that the computer says "Insert bootable floppy disk"... So stupidly, i accidently delete the /boot partition on fedora... So when I restarted, it couldn't boot to the OS as it cannot find the /boot partition, therefore it wouldn't boot. Which means there's no more computers for me to do some things for you all... But, thanks to a USB Drive and my brother's laptop, I got Ubuntu working fresh again and installed LXDE for Heavy Duties... Lesson learnt for me, never play with /boot sectors or partitions...

Samsung bring technology to a whole a new level. They brought their fancy little flexi devices on CES 2013 Las Vegas... I thought htey would make flexible phones... But no, they are also planning to bring out Tablets... Here's the YouTube Link for the actual CES Coverage... I wonder how an Quad-Core chip fits in... :/

When i mean acceptable, it means Bass that doesn't sound like destroying your earphones... I remember trying out DSP Manager for the first time, and i kept tweaking everything to More Bass... When i put on my earphones and listen to some songs, I felt like i'm dying xP... The bass gave me distortion because it can handle the Bass and i decided to tweak to something more reasonable... And this is what i came up with...

Dynamic Range Compression (DFC): ENABLED
Select Sound Effect: MODERATE

Bass Boost: ENABLED
Select Effect Strength: MODERATE

Equalizer: ENABLED

Follow the picture for the Preset...

If your there is some distortion coming out from your earphones, choose SLIGHT for DRC Sound Effect...

Day 2 with this ROM and Dead Trigger seems to lag abit, and Temple Run is still running like yesterday.. So overall, gaming wise, is ok, and the Developer, Brahmnoor, said, '' I have also tested it with Need For Speed Most Wanted, and GTA 3 and it runs smoothly without any lags !!!'' And, right now, i'm playing GTA3 which had just JAMMED my phone... I think its out of RAM, so it means GTA3 is not playable on this ROM

When i do such a thing like ROM reviews, it means that the ROM is good and it NEEDS a very very HONEST review which means im not gonna tell a lie about the ROM.

So first is quoted stuff,

Information
• Better and Slimer, with absolutely no bloatware.
• System tweaks for better hardware support, and better experience.
• Many performance tweaks, for much better performance and of course for stability.
• Best battery life, with Deep Sleep working.
• Completely modification-able, with multiple modification files. ( and more from the creator soon )
• Inverted apps available.
• Tweaked int.d, added many custom tweaks that greatly improves performance.
• Better GPS, with very quick location fix and better maps support.
• Exclusive system tweaks.
• No themes or launchers.
• Based on most recent CM9 by Arco.
• Smoothest, fastest, and the best gaming experience on your Galaxy W ever !! (This needs to be vetted since this is a port)
• Slim G-apps already included in the ROM.

So yeah, 80% of all this is correct. Its not the best battery life ROM out there, there are no inverted GAPPS, no ''exclusive'' system tweaks and YouTube is not included..

On the bright side, ''• Smoothest, fastest, and the best gaming experience on your Galaxy W ever !! (This needs to be vetted since this is a port)" <<< Now that is true, 22.44 now, and i just played Subway Surfers 10 mins ago, its not bad i would say... Only a super duper TINY lag that even you can't see the lag...

Now lets try, Temple Run, 22.46 right now and starting to play it NOW... launchiiiinngg... .... NOT bad, NO LAGS! really... Temple Run loads faster and now lets try gaming... 22.49 annddd... Amazing.. CAn't describe it... I got 68790 without upgrading stuff! Thats a record, usually in most ROMs, i got below 50000 points because of lag... For SmoothieICS V2, the lag in Temple run is acceptable... Its only a 5 milisecond lag, which means its noticable only that it doesn't really lag in the sense that you have to wait for 0.50 seconds to respond again...

Ok, next, Dead Trigger, all of us are waiting for that maybe? ;)
Remember, this is fresh, i just downloaded apps after i flashed the ROM...
Now launching... Bloody hell, its that stupid trailer everytime you start the game for the first time... -.-"Still waiting, Gun firing, blood spreading...
Great! Done loading, Lets try a mission... The menu response is quick! Ok loading, DONE!
First Mission done... Have to say, NOT BAD... Doesn't hang for a second! Usually i will in other ROMS.. Gun firing SMOOTH... (See if the game is smooth by firing your gun! If you hear a very rapid sound it means its smooth! If not, it will sound distorted somehow...)

This Part 1 of the ROM review... Thanks for reading!
